Weekend Recap

Weekend Recap

Hi, friends! Happy Monday. We are hopefully ready for our first full week of school! We have an activity every day this week, so it should be interesting!

Linking up with Heather and Johannah and sharing about our weekend today.

Friday right after school, we loaded the boat up and headed to Current River. Chris was having withdrawals from it, so he was anxious to get over there!

We had a wonderful evening on the water. We went for a long boat ride and then watched Chris fish for a while.

Chris caught a walleye which is kind of hard to do on Current River with the lures he uses. I think they are creepy looking because of their teeth!

My sister and nephews picked me and the girls up at the boat ramp and dropped my brother in law off for him and Chris to fish the rest of the evening.

Julie and I took the kids back to her house so we could hang out while the kids played. I love spending time with my family!

Saturday morning I let the girls sleep in and then we got around and headed to Van Buren, MO. I had ordered a sign from a place up there back in July that was finally ready to be picked up.

When we came back through the Bluff, we stopped at Hobby Lobby to get supplies to make t-shirts for Liz’s first middle school dance this week!

Of course we ended with getting grocery pick-up at Wal-Mart.If this is available near you, do it!!! It is a total game changer with grocery shopping!

As soon as we got home Saturday we had to get ready for Elizabeth’s promotion dinner at church. Since she is in 6th grade now, she is getting promoted into the youth group. (I can’t believe it!).

They had a nice dinner and then talked to the kids moving up and presented them with a nice gift.

Saturday night the girls watched a movie and played Fortnite with Chris while I cleaned the house really well and finished up the laundry.

Sunday morning I started my weekly Sunday pancake breakfast again. The girls love for us to have pancakes together before church every Sunday.

We went to church and then came home, ate lunch, and got the basement ready for Liz’s friends to come over.

She invited a few girls over to make t-shirts for their back to school dance this week. The theme is neon/black light, so they painted neon colored shirts. They will look sharp!

The paint didn’t dry as quickly as we hoped, so the girls will come back one day this week to finish them up. I’ll definitely be taking pictures of Liz’s first dance, so you’ll get to see how they turned out.

While they made shirts, Chris and Emily went to Cape to check his deer cameras and I worked on some school stuff while watching golf. I really wanted Tiger to win, but he played great!

Sunday evening we played outside, I took Emily to piano/voice lessons, and then we got everything ready for the new week.

Leaving you with our #selfieSunday. I pray you have a blessed week!
