Thankful

img_3335I just wanted to take the time on this Thanksgiving Eve and post what I am most thankful for this year.

If you are like me you can easily get comfortable and not think about EVERYTHING you have to be thankful for.  The list could go on and on and on, but in this post I am going to share with you a few of my favorites.

I am so thankful for my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  In this crazy world we live in, I am not sure how I would ever live without the peace of knowing Jesus.  He is my rock and has always been faithful and true to me.

This guy right here.  He is definitely my person.  He loves me and the girls more than anything and works so hard to provide for us.  He keeps me laughing and always pushes me to be the best “Jen” that I can be.  Love him to pieces!

Since I was a little girl I knew I wanted to be a mommy.  These two girls fulfill that dream every day.  I am so thankful for their crazy personalities and the unconditional love we share together.

I am thankful for the family I was born into.  I was taught good manners and respect, the love of family, and was raised to love the Lord.  My sister married a great one when she married my brother-in-law, Matthew.  I love watching my nephews grow up and they are becoming great young men.

I am also thankful for the family I married into.  Chris doesn’t have any siblings, but he struck gold with his parents.  They have a true servant’s heart and are dedicated to helping change lives through their ministry work at Teen Challenge.  They go above and beyond in everything that they do.

I am thankful for my job!  These are just a few of the crazy 8th graders that I get to work with every day this year.  Being a teacher is sometimes stressful and crazy, but knowing that I am {hopefully} making a difference in their lives and teaching them a little math along the way makes my heart happy.

Last but not least, I am thankful for all of my freedoms and for the men and women that sacrifice their lives fighting for those freedoms.  I don’t take it lightly and know I am blessed to live in America.
