Christmas 2021

Happy New Year’s Eve!

The last day of 2021. So hard to believe as I know we are all feeling we are still processing the year 2020.

It’s been a “weird” year, and we are looking forward to 2022.

Our Christmas this year was great! It goes so fast, but we tried to enjoy every minute of it.

Christmas Eve morning we started by visiting with Chris’s grandma Bolin. It was so good to see her!

We then headed to my Nini’s house for Christmas with my family.

This was the first year in a long time that we had every family member present. Both my cousins that are in the military were able to be home, so it was so special to us.

We of course had to have a photo shoot also since everyone was home!

My Nini with her 3 kids (my mom and 2 uncles):

My Uncle Scott’s family:

My Uncle Jake’s family:

Mom’s family:

My Nini with her grandkids: (me and Julie are way older than my other cousins)

Nini with her great grandkids: (Tyler is the oldest at 17 and Nolan is the youngest at 2 months old)

We played an epic game of kickball since it was 70 degrees outside

We exchanged gifts, had great food, and played a few games. My heart is always full after a day with my family.

We made it back to our house on Christmas Eve and had our annual pajama photo shoot.

The girls headed off to bed just in time for Santa to come

Christmas morning was so fun. The girls are at the stage where they want clothes and shoes, but they liked everything they got and everything fit, so it was a successful day!

After we ate our breakfast, we headed to Chris’s dad’s house for Christmas with him.

I found myself crying all the way over to his house. Grief hits you at weird times! I was missing my dad and realizing it was already my 5th Christmas without him. I was missing Chris’s mom and her excitement she got from watching the girls open their gifts. Just so many different things and emotions.

After a good cry, we made it to James’s house and had a great day with him. He spoils the girls just a little bit. LOL

Christmas night I had all my Christmas down and everything back in order.

Once everything is over, I like my house back to normal. We all pitched in and got it done quickly!

Hope y’all had a great holiday season with your family.

One of my goals for 2022 is to blog and document our life more, so I hope I can stick to it!

Happy New Year!

  1. How wonderful that your WHOLE family was able to get together this year! I am loving all these group photos that you got. I am also so jealous that it was so warm and you all got to play outside… we had snow on Christmas eve and rain all day Christmas.
