Tie-Dye Fun

Happy Monday, friends!

Thanks for all the love on my NYC posts. I am still thinking of the wonderful time me and Emily had together.

The girls and I did a fun tie-dye project last week. I’m sure you’ve seen it all over social media.

But since tie-dye was on our 2021 summer fun list, we thought this would be a great project to do!

I love that the girls will still humor me and do craft projects with me.

We started with taping their name on their towel with duct tape.

Filled our spray bottles with water and shook them really good!

Made our way outside and started tie-dyeing our towels.

It didn’t take them long at all to dry, so we flipped them and sprayed the back side of the towel also.

Waited an hour for them to dry completely, took the tape off, washed them, and had an awesome end product!

The girls have declared these their camper towels and will stay at the river for them to use this summer.

I was secretly bummed I didn’t order me a white towel to tie-dye for myself! We had a lot of tie-dye left over, so I might do just that!

I hope you have a great week. I will be back later this week to blog about our camping trip to Clearwater Lake. It was so fun!

  1. Cute project! I would love to do that with my kids. Tell me more about the bottles with the coloring. Did you buy the set somewhere so the colors were already in the bottles?

      1. What stores would you find it at? Hobby Lobby? Joannes? My daughter’s bday is Tuesday and I’d love to do this with her friend. Amazon is out of stock with the link I sent plus wouldn’t be here in time. I will run into town if you think one of those types of stores would have it.

      2. Yes, that was the right link. If you can’t buy it online, I’d try a craft store like Joannes or Michael’s. Maybe Hobby Lobby. I hope you find it! Good luck. 🙂
