Q & A

Happy Thursday, friends!  We are rocking and rolling with this week.  It’s crazy how fast a week goes anymore!

I thought I would do a little Q & A session with you all today!

If you weren’t a teacher, what job would you do?

I love being a teacher, and it was always my choice of career.  If I didn’t teach though, I would want to do physical therapy for professional athletes.

Do you limit gifts to your kids at Christmas?

Yes, definitely!  You can easily get carried away with buying gifts at Christmas and that is not the real reason for the season.  We usually have one larger gift from Santa that the girls get, and then we do about 4-5 gifts for the girls from Chris and I.  By the time they get gifts from grandparents and aunts and uncles, they always have PLENTY!

What tips do you have for a successful marriage?

I don’t know if I have any tips.  Every marriage is different and takes A LOT of work!  What works for Chris and I is to always have an open line of communication.  I never “assume” he knows how I’m feeling or what I’m thinking.  We talk about everything under the sun!  We also know the importance of doing our own thing away from each other (hobbies) and not getting mad or upset about this.

If you could live anywhere, where would it be?

I would say FL!  I am a sunshine girl and I love the ocean.  I wonder sometimes when it’s freezing outside why we chose to live where we live.

Who are some of your favorite bloggers?

I love following along with lots of blogs!  Here are some of my favorites I try to read every day:

Bri @ What’s Brewing with Bri

Dara @ Not in Jersey

Joanne @ Slices of Life

Tanya @ The Other Side of the Road

Whitney @ The Perfectly Imperfect Mama

Right now two of my besties, Jenna @ Tractors and Glam and Britt @ Home Sweet Hensley are taking a break from blogging, but they are two of my favorites as well.

I’m sure there are others that I’m missing, but I love my blogging community.

What would you change about yourself if you could?

Nothing!  I seriously am happy the way I am!

What is the last movie you went to?  What did you think?

Chris and I went and saw It’s A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood last Wednesday.  I love Tom Hanks and had high hopes for this movie.  I was extremely disappointed in it and didn’t care for it.  It was so slow and just not what I expected at all!

Are you a clean or messy person?

CLEAN!  Ask my family.  I am a little OCD about things.

Well, that’s all I have time for today.  We have another ballgame tonight where Lizzie is cheering.  See y’all tomorrow!

  1. Thanks so much for the shout out, friend. You are a “must read” for me and I love following your sweet family. I have heard some people who love the Mr. Rogers movie, but others have said it was slow. You should check out the documentary about him from HBO. It focuses more on his life, work and beliefs than what I’ve heard the movie does.

  2. I too often say I’d love to live in Florida! It is way to cold here this time of year for me! My husband and I are trying to come up with a compromise like maybe Tennessee or the mountains of Georgia?? We don’t limit the # of gifts but I set a budget for each of the kids and stick as close to is as possible; which usually means 3-5 gifts each depending on what they ask for. Thanks so much for mentioning me in your favorite blogs category; I think I read just about every single one you mentioned at least once a week (if not every day!) they are all my favorites too… and so many more. I bet I could do a whole blog post just on the blogs I read!

  3. Such a fun, fun post!! You made me tear up when you listed me. This blogging community means SO much to me too! Love you girl!
