Share Your…

Thursday~ I am so glad to see you!  It’s almost Friday!

Today is my favorite link-up with my buddy, Jenna!

March’s topic is to share your….day in the life.

I just did a post about a day in my life here.

However, I thought I would share again what a typical day right now looks like for me.  I didn’t do the best at taking pictures, so bear with me!

Here was my Monday of this week:

Woke up at 5:19 (should’ve been 5:15)

Showered and got ready for the day

Taught 2 Chinese classes through VIPKid from 6:00-7:00 a.m.  I love this side job!

Ate breakfast

Ready for the school day!  It was our first MS volleyball game that night and the girls were supporting their momma

We are out the door by 7:30 every morning.

Get to school and get stuff ready for the day.  I needed to finish totaling grades from a Chapter 6 test the kids took on Friday.

Teach 1st-4th hours (I teach 8th grade math and 1 hour of HS Algebra 1)

Come home and eat lunch

Go back to school and teach 6th-8th hours (5th hour is my prep and time to get stuff caught up)

The school day ends.  I head to the gym for a make-up volleyball practice that will allow some of our girls to be eligible to play in our first game (they have to have 14 practices in).  I stay at school until around 4:15…

I end up with a lot of girls in my car afterwards and we run through the McDonald’s drive-thru for a quick supper

I drop Emily off with a friend so they can take her to her volleyball game at Malden.  Chris had baseball practice until 5:30 and would meet them there after he was done with that.

Then it’s back at the MS by 5:00 to get ready for our games that night.

7th grade played at 6:00 and won and then our 8th grade played and lost.

Emily’s team beat Malden that night pretty quickly and her and Chris were able to make it back in time for our 8th grade MS game.

It was a great night of volleyball!

I make it home around 8:45 and finally sit down and talk with Chris about our day.    I also ate “supper” (chips/dip) at this time.

Liz needed her nighttime insulin at 9:00 and she also needed a Dexcom change.  I HATE Dexcom changes because they hurt her so bad.  But I’m thankful for the technology at the same time!

Chris and I put the girls to bed at 9:15,  pick the house up a little, and lights out by 10:15!

It was a busy day!  But I am a blessed lady doing what I love with the people I love!

What does a day in your life look like?

  1. 5:19 is just too early..I mean, it’s a whole hour earlier than my 6:15, and I’m struggling with that one! Life is so busy & fun when all the babies are in sports, and you and Chris both are in your own respective sports! Thanks for hosting this fun link-up!

    1. Lol, no! I just went back and re-read what I typed and it does sound like I know Chinese. It is an online teaching program where I teach English to Chinese kids. I love it! Great extra money and the kids are wonderful!

  2. What a fun day in the life. I love getting a peek into your days, we are so similar. I love all the kids sports and watching them do what they love. I hope you have a great day Jen!

  3. What a full day, but I love these full days of carting kids around to their different activities. I just love that they are active and not just sitting around doing nothing. And you know chinese? That’s something I didn’t know! That’s awesome! When did you learn that?

    1. Yes, I love that they are active and involved in so much. No, I don’t know Chinese. I worded that sentence WAY wrong! LOL
I teach English to Chinese kids through a program called VIPKid. I love it! I have picked up on some Chinese words just through the kids, though. 🙂

    1. I actually teach English to Chinese kids. I worded that wrong! LOL
It is a great program and extra money for me. The kids are wonderful that I work with!

  4. How lovely to make it home for lunch! That’s awesome! I am teaching high school algebra this year and I can not believe how much of it I have forgotten through the years. Luckily I really enjoy Algebra and so far my son is having a pretty easy time with it.

    1. Yes, we live only about 2 minutes from the school, so it’s easy to pop home real quick and grab a bit to eat. I love that little time away from the school. It helps keep me sane! I LOVE Algebra! I do feel that what my 8th graders are doing it’s what I did in 10th grade, but they are capable!

    1. I LOVE doing VIPKID! It is an awesome teaching experience with the kids, but the hours are very early! 🙂 Shoot me an email if you want to know more about it.
