It’s FRIDAY! Whoo-hoo!! Can you believe there are only 18 days until Christmas? I can’t wait!
I’m linking up with Andrea, Erika, and Narci today and sharing some of my favorites.
ONE
Honestly, this week has been a little stressful. I’ve been an emotional basket-case. We got a call for a foster placement and said yes, only for a family friend to come forward and take her. I know it’s best and I wasn’t attached, but I did get my hopes up for her.
Chris’s mom will find out some results from her latest blood work and scans today and I’ve just been thinking of that a lot too.
Plus the stress of finals and teaching and normal life stuff, wow! It’s been a doozy!
BUT, my first favorite this week is walking into my classroom one morning and finding this note that Emily Grace left me. She is such a sweetheart and it totally made my day!

Have you all seen the trailer for the new movie, Breakthrough, coming out next Easter? Watch it below. It looks SOOOOO good!

I loved watching the funeral of George H.W. Bush on Wednesday. When his son, President George Bush, got up there and gave his eulogy I cried like a baby. It was such a good speech about his dad! That family is so classy and knows that the love of family is everything.
Hope you all have a great Friday! I am actually on a field trip today with Emily and her Songmakers choir. It should be a great day!

I’m so sorry you’ve had a stressful week. I haven’t seen the trailer for that movie, but I will check it out. I set my DVR up to record President Bush’s funeral. I watched it that evening, and when President Bush got up to give the eulogy, I also cried like a baby. It’s so sad that he is gone.
I hope you have a great weekend!
Like uncontrollable sobbing when watching it!! I was a mess!
Girl!! I have cried every time I’ve watched the eulogy from W! It was so, so good. I’ve felt your pain about the stress of this week, but it’s the weekend. Also, we’re one week closer to Christmas break! 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Hope Nataleigh is feeling better!
I cried like a baby through that funeral too. WOW! What a tribute. I am sorry about your week being stressful. I do love that note though. Praying for the news today about Chris’s mom!
Thank you, friend!
I’m sorry you have been stressed! Love the note from your daughter!
She’s a sweetie!
I had a good cry too during his eulogy. I just think their family is so classy as well. I loved Jenna Bush Haggar’s book with her sister. It made me like them even more!
Yes, I loved that book. I am big Bush family fans!
OMgosh, I can’t believe there are ONLY 18 days left!!!! So exciting!
Ohhh… I’m sorry about the foster placement. I can only imagine how it would feel to get so excited and then not have the child come. I am excited for you guys to get your next call, Jen.
Praying for Chris’s mom. My aunt is going through that now too. She actually just got put in the hospital yesterday again.
What a sweet note from Emily. It’s those things that make everything seem better.
I haven’t seen that preview! Gah!!!! I want to see that movie now for sure!!!
Enjoy your field trip and your weekend. 🙂
Thank you! Fostering definitely brings all the emotions, but we are always excited for that call for placement. Sorry to hear about your aunt. I HATE cancer!
I hope that next week will be less stressful for you! That movie looks great! Hope you have a wonderful weekend. 🙂
Thank you!
