Last summer we started going on Adventure Tuesdays as a family.
This summer we want to go on as many adventures as we can, with our goal hopefully being one each week.
Adventure Tuesdays are basically where we pack the car full of snacks and drinks, and go explore a new area near us. It can be a state park, hiking trail, spring, etc. The point is to just be together and enjoy nature.
Monday this week we had our first Adventure Tuesday. We had to go on Monday this week since the girls and I have volleyball camp the rest of the week.
We decided to go to Pickle Springs for the day. It is near Ste. Genevieve, which is about 2 hours away from our house.
Pickle Springs was really neat! It had tons of big rocks you could climb, and the spring area was very peaceful.
The only downfall of the place was that the trail wasn’t clearly marked very well at all! We got turned around a few times and one time we were so far off the path Emily started tearing up and thinking we were going to be lost in the woods forever! HA
We hiked a total of 2 miles and it took us a little over an hour. The weather was really cool at the beginning of the hike, but we were all sweaty and tired by the end!
Since we were so close to the city (St. Louis) Chris and I decided to surprise the girls and take them to a Cardinals game.
We invited his parents to join us and we all had a great evening together. The weather was gorgeous (after the sun went down) and the Cardinals won!
So thankful for every minute I get to spend with my family. I am blessed!
Hope you have a great Wednesday!
