Hi, friends! Happy Tuesday. Hope your week is off to a great start!
We are finally on summer break and loving it. Chris and I are so blessed to both be home all the time with the girls and enjoy our summer together.
That being said, we sometimes run out of things to do to keep the girls occupied. We decided this summer we would make every Tuesday “Adventure Tuesday.” Basically, we will pack up the car with snacks and drinks and hit up a new hiking spot every Tuesday. Pretty inexpensive. Quality time together. Priceless memories. Win/Win situation for everyone.
Today we had our first Bolin Adventure Tuesday and decided to hit up Lon Sanders Canyon in Piedmont, MO. It was only about an hour and 15 minutes from our house.
We didn’t get to enjoy the entire conservation area due to the recent flooding. There were still a few places where the water was too high to cross over. However, we enjoyed our time hiking and checking out the paths. It had a beautiful creek running through it and Chris saw a lot of small mouth bass in it, so he was happy.
Also, our adventure was cut a little short because of a storm that rolled in. As soon as we made it back to our car it started pouring the rain so we timed it perfectly.
I love spending time with my crew. I think Tuesday will quickly become one of my favorite days of the week this summer.
