Hi, friends! Happy Sunday!
Yesterday, I graduated with my Master’s Degree!
It was the perfect day!
Ironically 12 years ago today (4 days after giving birth to Liz), I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree.
Then, I had another baby within 16 months, so my Master’s Degree was put on hold.
Finally, 18 months ago I decided to bite the bullet and go back to college to get my Master’s!
I’d be lying if I said I never wanted to give up! There were many times I thought I couldn’t do it.
I was 33, a wife, mom, 8th grade math teacher, and coach.
Also during this time I lost my dad, my mother in-law got diagnosed with cancer, and my daughter (and nephew) were diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.
But you know what?!? I never gave up!
I persevered and yesterday all of that hard work paid off!
It was a wonderful day! Thank you SO much to all my family and friends that reminded me that I could do this and for your unending love and support!
Also, thanks to everyone that sent congratulations and well wishes yesterday. My heart was full!
P. S. I know my dad was my biggest cheerleader in heaven.
Now, cue the pictures:
I couldn’t of done it without these girls:
Especially this one:
The graduation ceremony was quick and easy! It only lasted a little over an hour and we had a good guest speaker.
A quote I will take from it is, “If you want to be seen, stand up. If you want to be heard, speak up. If you want to be respected, shut up.”
I thought this was great!
My family is always my rock. I’m so glad my mom, sister, nephew, and Nini drove the 2 hours to see me graduate. I am blessed with the best!

Congratulations! I know that took a lot of hard work and effort. (Though I got my Master’s degree right away following my bachelor’s before getting married and having kids).
