Favorite Christmas Memory

Happy Thursday, friends! Hope your week is going great!

Thank you for all the wonderful messages yesterday wishing Liz a Happy Birthday. She had a great day!

Today I wanted to share with you my favorite Christmas memory.

I’m also going to “practice” for my upcoming link-ups by opening up a party for this post today. Hope it works and that some of you are able to link-up with me!

Christmas time is always full with lots of traditions and memories.

I have tons of great Christmas memories~ such as making chocolate covered pretzels with my mom, or having the hardest time falling asleep in Nini and Grumpy’s bedroom because I was so excited. Or my Uncle Jake showing off his fancy new boxer shorts and Nini spelling the word “LONE” instead of “NOEL” with her ivy decorations.

However, my favorite Christmas memory was when my sister and I were probably 6 and 7. My Grumpy (grandpa) got a new desk for Christmas and there was a HUGE cardboard box from it.

I decided to sleep in it that evening and it was so much fun! I piled all the blankets and pillows I could find in there with me and loved it!

Not sure why this sticks out to me and I wish I could find the picture of me in the box, but I love this Christmas memory.

What favorite Christmas memory do you have?

Remember, it’s not about the fancy clothes or new toys that you get, it’s about who you are with this holiday season.  Also, it’s about remembering that tiny baby born in the manger. He is the real reason for the season!

Hope y’all have a great day!  Thank you for reading my blog.

Link-up below if you are able!

  1. I love that you call your grandpa, “Grumpy” and your grandma, “Nini”! How did those names come about?

Such a sweet picture of you and your sister when you were little!! And I love the memory!

Fun link-up! Looking forward to more. Happy Thursday, Jen!!

    1. Not for sure how the names came about, but that’s just what my sister started calling them and it stuck. I have the funniest face in that picture of me and my sister, but I thought it was a sweet picture. Thanks for linking up with me today, Bri! Have a great day!
