Weekend Recap

Weekend Recap

Hi, friends! I hope your weekend was great.

I’m linking up with Heather and Johannah to share ours with you.

Friday after school I stayed in my classroom and worked late to get all my plans done for this week and my grades caught up. We get mid-quarter grades Wednesday at my school, so I wanted to make sure mine were up to date.

I made it home just in time to feed the girls and then my friend Cassie came and picked me up.

We went and ate Mexican and then shopped the night away at our town’s Moonlight Madness.

All the stores downtown stay open late and have sales. It’s a great chance to get an early start to Christmas shopping. I found a few good deals, but most importantly had a great evening with my friend!

Thanks, Chris for holding down the fort while I was gone.

Saturday was opening day of rifle season, so Chris was in the deer woods ALLLL day!

I love getting my hunting pictures from him.

While Chris was hunting, the girls and I headed to Cape for a full day of shopping!

We had a great day and spent way too much money! But got a lot of Christmas shopping done.

Lizzie laughed because I told her she literally shopped until she dropped! (Her sugar got LOW)

That afternoon we met my mom, Nini, and sister’s family to listen to my nephew sing for the all-district choir.

What an amazing thing to be chosen for! The choir sounded great. We are so proud of Tyler!

We ended the night with going to eat together at Texas Roadhouse! YUMMY!

Sunday was a day full of homework for me! I was very productive and got my whole internship class completed! Now I just have School Law left and then I’m done!

I also taught some classes through VIPKID. One boy I taught was extremely smart and asked me to teach him multiplication! This math teacher loved that request!

That afternoon, the girls and I were finally able to decorate their tree down in the basement. We still have to get a topper and some more ornaments, but I love the color scheme the girls picked out!

When Chris got home from the deer woods, we had a 2-square tournament. We even have blue tape down for the lines now~ that’s how serious we take it! HA

Leaving you with our #selfieSunday! I pray you have a blessed week!

  1. What a fun weekend, Jen! Love that you got out with a friend, shopped with your girls, and had family time. Hope your week is great!

  2. I love the two square tournament! Ok, question…does Chris not shave for hunting season? Brandon does not shave during hunting season and gets a beard going too. Love it! That midnight madness sounds like so much fun. I wish I could have tagged along! Have a great week!

    1. He keeps a short beard all year long, but during hunting season he doesn’t shave it. So from September 15 (bow season) till after Christmas it gets LLLOOONNNGGGG. Lol
I would’ve loved for you to tag along also for moonlight madness. It was a blast!

  3. First off– you can never go wrong with Texas Roadhouse! I am so glad to see you post about 2 square; we were at a local park and they had these courts drawn out and we just could not figure out what they were. We had heard of 4 square but never 2 square! Mystery solved.

    1. I agree about Texas Roadhouse! It’s the best!
2 square is similar to 4 square but only for two players. Ours girls are obsessed with it right now! I’m glad I could solve the mystery for you. Lol Have a great week!

  4. So much fun in one post. I love you got girl time with a friend and your ladies. And yay for almost being done with grad school, it’s gonna feel so good 🙂
