Weekend Recap

Weekend Recap

Hi, friends! It’s Monday! Man, did it come quickly!

I don’t have many pictures to share from this weekend at all. It was a nice, relaxing, and very slow-paced weekend! We were all wiped out from going back to school last week, so it was just what we needed!

Friday night we were supposed to go out to eat and see a movie, but we decided to stay home instead and have pizza and a movie night in.

It was a great decision because it was COLD and we were all so tired!

The only picture I took from the night was the girls painting their nails. They have really been into painting their nails lately and I love it! I’m sad that they don’t need my help anymore to do it, though.

Saturday morning we slept in a little bit and then the girls and I went and watched some of Liz’s 5th grade friends play in a basketball tournament all afternoon.

Elizabeth had asked me if we could go and cheer for them earlier in the week and we didn’t have anything going on, so it was a good thing to do on a cold January day.

We enjoyed watching the 5th and 6th grade girls play. They have some great talent! Emily had some friends there also, and I was able to visit with a lot of my mom friends, so it was a successful afternoon!

After the tournament we had to go grocery shopping for the week. We had a small chance of freezing rain the next day, so I think the whole town of Dexter was at Walmart that evening! It took us 2.5 hours to get our groceries! Yikes!

My girls are obsessed with squishes!?! Are these a “thing” yet where you live? Anyways, that evening they played with their squishes for hours and sorted them all and counted them all! We have WAY too many!

Sunday was a day of rest and being lazy. We didn’t make it to church because we let Elizabeth sleep in and she slept until 10:00. I felt bad for missing the first Sunday of the year, but she hadn’t been resting good because of all the finger pokes and I wanted to let her sleep!

We watched football, did makeovers, and then Chris’s parents came over that afternoon and brought us some “free carb” snacks they got at Sam’s Club for us.

The girls also maybe talked Papa into ordering some more squishes for them!

Sunday evening I worked on getting our team created for JDRF One Walk. Zach and Liz <with the help of me and my Sis> made a team, COUSINS FOR A CURE, and want to raise money to help find a cure for diabetes. Check out the link here and if you feel lead, feel free to donate and help them reach their goal of $500!

Leaving you with our #selfieSunday. Liz was already in bed for the night so that’s how we took our selfie. And yes, she’s in our bed because of me pricking her finger throughout the night. I pray you have a blessed week!
