Happy Monday morning! Hope you and your family had a wonderful weekend together. Today I am linking up with Johannah and Heather and sharing our weekend with you.
Friday our school district had a wonderful Veteran’s Day ceremony~ It is something I look forward to all year long. It was such a great morning honoring all those that have served and are currently serving in our military. Here are a few glimpses of the morning:
There is also a Veteran’s Day poster contest out of all the 5th grade classes. Our sweet Liz won out of her classroom! We were so proud of her!
Friday after school Liz went to a friend’s house for a sleepover and Emily had a birthday party to go to. Chris went hunting, so I had the whole evening to myself. I caught a Hallmark movie on TV and enjoyed the peace and quiet!
When I picked Emily up from her party, we snap-chatted and ended the night with popcorn and watching YouTube.
Saturday morning I picked Liz up from her sleepover and we headed to Cape for a day full of shopping and fun. Chris was in the deer woods ALLLLL day, so the girls and I met my sister, mom, and grandma up at Cape and shopped the day away. It was a wonderful day together.

That evening, we headed to the high school at Cape to hear my nephew, Tyler, sing at the All-District Choir performance. He was 1 of 3 students selected to be in the choir from Doniphan. While I originally went to watch my nephew, I was also able to listen to all my sweet 8th grade students in the choir. There were over 20 students from my school chosen to be in the choir!
I was impressed with how good all of the choirs sounded!
Liz decided to skip the choir concert and went hunting with her daddy that evening. They only saw 2 does and she didn’t want to shoot a doe.
We all met up after the concert and hunting and went out to eat together at Texas Roadhouse. It was a wonderful day full of family fun!
Sunday Chris was still in the deer woods all day, so the girls and I had a lazy day at home. I spent all morning finishing my college homework for the week! (UGH)
Then I got all of my chores done and was able to sit down all afternoon and read my new book my Nini bought me the day before. So far it’s SO good! I love Karen Kingsbury books!
Sunday evening Chris texted me, “DEER DOWN.” So the girls and I patiently waited for him to call us with all the details of his hunt.
He ended up getting a really nice 10-pointer. I love Chris’s passion for the outdoors and all things hunting/fishing. I’m glad he got a deer early so now he can’t hunt anymore until bow season starts back up! LOL
Leaving you with our #selfieSunday, which we took this morning before school since Chris was gone all day Sunday! I pray you have a blessed week!

What a fun weekend!! Happy Monday, girl!
Same to you!!!
I am loving all the Hallmark movies. We watch them as we go to bed every night, and my Grinch hubby may or may not already be over it! 😂Happy Monday, friend!
I never really got into them until this year and they just suck you right in!
