33 Things About Me

Today in honor of turning 33, I wanted to share 33 random things about me.  I have a lot of new followers, so I wanted them to get to know me a little better!

1.  I am married to my high school sweetheart, Christopher, and have 2 beautiful girls.
2. I teach 8th grade math and actually enjoy it!
3. No one really calls me Jennifer.  I usually go by Jen to my friends, Mrs. Bolin to my students, and my family and Chris call me Jenny.  So when someone calls me Jennifer it takes me a minute to register my name.
4. I was saved when I was 9 years old in an Awana’s class at my home church.  Best decision of my life!
5. I am addicted to Dr. Pepper and drink at least one 44 oz. Dr. Pepper from Rhodes every day.
6. Elizabeth was only 8 months old when I found out I was pregnant with Emily.  I cried when I had to tell Chris!
7. I graduated number 4 in my high school class.
8. I graduated college with my bachelor’s degree 4 days after giving birth to Elizabeth.  I was determined to walk across that stage!
9. My middle name is Morgan.
10. I love the smell of fresh cut grass.
11. I HATE coffee!  For real, can’t stand it.
12. I could eat my mom’s hamburgers and fries every meal.  So yummy!
13. I had to have a colonoscopy at the age of 28 and they found 3 pre-cancerous polyps, so now I have to have a colonoscopy every 5 years.
14. I was a manager at Colton’s Steakhouse in Poplar Bluff during college.
15. I worked at a video store during high school and absolutely loved it.  I love watching all kinds of movies to this day because of it.
16. My favorite color is purple.
17. I can’t carry a tune in a bucket, but I love singing in the shower.
18. I love volleyball!
19. I have only flown once in my life.
20. I had my tonsils out when I was 4 years old.
21. I’ve had braces twice in my life.  Once when I was in high school and then I got them again after I got married.  I got my second set off a week before I had Emily Grace.
22. I love playing cards, especially rummy.
23. I love Southern Gospel music.  You can thank my Uncle Jake for that.
24. My eyebrows are tattoos.  When I was young, it was the cool thing to pluck your eyebrows REALLY thin and mine never grew back right.  Getting tattooed eyebrows was a wonderful decision!
25. I want eyelash extensions, so I don’t have to wear mascara every day, but also know it is a major financial upkeep that I just can’t commit to yet.
26. I am finally getting my Master’s degree after being out of college for almost 11 years.
27. My handwriting is horrible!  Some of my students sometimes even have to ask me what I wrote if I’m in a hurry.
28. I’m learning the older I get, the less I care about what others think of me.  This is a good thing!
29. Losing my dad at 32 was the hardest thing I have ever went through.
30. My sister is my best friend and I wish I lived closer to her every day.
31. I’m not the best cook,  but I cook every meal (supper) at home except on Saturdays.
32. My mom and I share our birthdays!  Such a neat thing to share together.  (Happy Birthday, Mom!)
33. I recently just started blogging and have found some of the best blogging friends a girl could ask for!  Even though I share way too much with you all, I love it and it gives me a place to be “me”.
