Friday Favorites

Happy Friday!  My house has been way too quiet since both girls are gone to church camp this week.  I don’t like it one bit!  I’ve stayed busy by helping my mom at her house and college homework.

Today I am linking up with Narci, Erika, and Andrea to share with you my Friday Favorites.

My first favorite this week is my new hall tree/coat rack.  At our old house I had a command center where both girls had a basket and hook to put all their things.  At our new house there wasn’t a dedicated spot to make this command center, so I knew I wanted a coat rack/storage unit to put in my dining room.  I found the perfect one on amazon that I wanted and it came in this week.  Chris and I put it together in about 30 minutes and I was instantly in love!  I think it will be a great place for the girls to put their shoes and backpacks.  I plan to get a basket underneath the bench for additional storage, get a few pillows, and decorate the top shelf with something eventually.  It fits in the spot I wanted it perfectly and adds just what I needed in that space.  Find it here on amazon.

The pictures I got from Chris when he took my nephews and brother in law fishing are my next favorite thing.  Chris LOVES to fish on Current River if you haven’t figured that out yet from my blog.  In the summer time, he likes to go at least 3 times a week.  This week since the girls have been gone he’s been able to go almost every day.  The other night he took my nephews and brother in law in the evening and they had a great time together.  Chris texted me these pictures of Zach and Tyler with one of the fish they caught.  Chris loves his nephews and is a great uncle to them!

My sister got me this towel when she went on her cruise to the Bahamas last week.  I love it and plan to hang it up in my classroom with all my other motivational sayings!  It will be just the thing I need to remind myself I’m in charge on those crazy days of teaching!

I am really trying to dig deeper into reading my Bible and memorizing Scripture.  I started a new Bible Study this week on 2 Corinthians called All Things New.  So far I am loving it and plan to share a little bit with you all soon.

That’s all my favorites for this week.  It has been a really low-key week in our household.  I am ready to get both of my girls back tomorrow and give them a big hug!  Hope you all have a great weekend.
