Thursday’s Three

Happy Thursday!

This totally describes how I feel this week so far!  I feel like I’m hovering outside my body and I just can’t feel caught up and in control.  The SUPERMOON, a doctor’s appointment, and Elizabeth running a high fever has made for a crazy week.

Anyhow, here are the 3 things I am loving this week:

ONE

Chris FINALLY got a deer!  YAY!  That means I get my husband back and I am so happy! He took off of work on Tuesday and got up early to go hunting.  He called me around 6:40 that morning and said, “Jen, I shot a big one.”  He went on to tell me that it had ran off and he couldn’t find it.  He was going to let it lay for a while and go back after it about 30 minutes later.  I never heard from him again until my lunch at 11:00.  I then got to hear a new story about how it took a few hours for him to track it down because the deer had went and buried itself against a log.  I tease Chris all the time and tell him he can’t ever do anything “normal” and he always has a dramatic story to tell.  He says it’s because he lives with 3 girls.  It’s not the biggest buck he’s shot, but it’s a pretty good sized one and will provide us with a lot of meat.  I am loving that he’s tagged out and can now spend his weekends at home with us!

TWO

Have you ever heard of Google Photos?  I have SO many pictures and videos of the girls from when they were little and I was wanting a way to back the files up to where they were safe if my computer ever crashed.  I had them all on a jump drive with that jump drive in our safe, but I felt like I wanted something better “just in case.”  That is when I started seeing commercials on TV for Google Photos.  It is an app that you can have on your smartphone that automatically backs up every picture you take into the “cloud” so you will always have it.  You just need a google email to sign up with and you have unlimited storage space. They also emailed me a link that I could access all of my old photos and videos from my desktop computer, so now I have all those on my phone under the app, as well.  They are all organized and labeled by date and easy to access! I seriously had about 27,787 pictures to back up from my desktop computer and it took about 3 days, but it’s so neat that now I know these pictures and videos will be safe forever!  You should really check it out if you want a good way to back up your photos.  Here are a few of my favorite older pictures of the girls that are so precious to me:

THREE

I’m not sure if I actually love these yet or not, but I think I will.  Santa is bringing both girls one of these for their lunch boxes.  My girls like to eat a lot of “little” stuff for school lunches and I always have the hardest time figuring out the best way to pack everything.  I end up just putting everything in its own separate Ziploc baggie, then I feel wasteful and frustrated that they have a billion different bags to open.  An example of something hard to pack: Emily likes apples, but with peanut butter and Liz likes carrots, but only dipped in ranch.  I think these yumboxes will be just what I need.  They have four separate compartments (1 that will be perfect for dips, ketchup, sauce, etc.) and they are supposed to be leakproof.  I am excited to try them out and see if they are as good as all of the reviews say!  Find them here.

Hope you have a great rest of the week!
