Happy Wednesday friends! Sorry I was MIA yesterday. Between coaching volleyball and teaching math, I have been a little swamped! Oh, and being mom and wife in there too! HA
Today, it’s one of my favorite link-ups of the month with Shay and Sheaffer. I can’t believe we are ending another month already! February flew by.
What I’m reminiscing about:
Everything! I feel like time is flying by so quickly! This picture of Liz and friends was on my Time Hop from a few years ago. This was their first ever volleyball tournament in 4th grade.
Now they are in 6th grade almost ready for school ball! I can’t believe it!
This picture of Emily also popped up from 10 years ago. Babies definitely don’t keep!
What I’m loving:
Chris! He has been such a lifesaver lately with helping so much with the girls. I haven’t been home before 6:00 this whole month and he has really stepped up and helped with the homework and after school stuff. He started baseball this week, so now it’s even crazier for us!
What we’ve been up to:
Volleyball, volleyball, and more volleyball! Liz’s team has had a tournament every weekend in February and Emily’s team debuts in their first tournament this Saturday. Little sister is ready for it to be her turn!
What I’m dreading:
Nothing at the moment I don’t think…
What I’m excited about:
Our first MS volleyball game is this coming Monday! I can’t wait to see how the girls’ hard work pays off!
Also, the little girl that was with us in foster care almost two years ago finally got adopted the other day! The family that she went to after us was the family that adopted her. We keep in close touch with them all. We are so happy and excited for them!
What I’m watching:
I am really behind with all my shows lately…I did catch The Oscars Sunday night and watched Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper sing Shallow. It was so good!

I just started Where The Crawdads Sing
What I’m listening to:
Emily reading her AR book aloud…Do you have AR reading at your child’s school? Do you like it?
What I’m doing this weekend:
Friday night I am going to a Ladies Night at a church with my bestie. Saturday Emily has her first 5th grade volleyball tournament and Liz has a tournament in Cape. Then we are headed to St. Louis again for Liz to have a volleyball tournament all day on Sunday. Whew! I’m tired just thinking about it.
What I’m looking forward to next month:
March is going to be a crazy busy month of volleyball games. I am looking forward to it though because I love the sport! I am also looking forward to Liz’s endocrinologist appointment and Emily gets her braces off!

This sounds like quite the busy season for you all! I had a few photos from even just 2 years ago show up on my timeline and I can’t believe how much my boys have changed in just that short amount of time.

Whoop to all the volleyball! March kicks off our spring training season, and we are adding a men’s program at our school. I so get how crazy, hectic life gets during season! Love that your girls love such a great sport too!
Such a hectic time, but I do love it. I’m so glad both girls enjoy volleyball and I hope they always do!
The removal of braces is such a thing to celebrate!! Tell her to cherish that feeling of running her tongue along her teeth when they come off – it’s such a good one! Ha ha! Hope all the volleyball goes well!
She can’t wait to get them off! She will have to get a full set later in MS, but she is looking forward to running that tongue across her teeth! HA Thanks!
