This and That

Happy Monday, friends! Mondays don’t mean anything to me anymore since we are officially on summer break! Sorry, had to rub it in a little.

Today I am linking up with Johannah and Heather and sharing an assortment of life lately. I feel we had so many things crammed into the last week of school, but we survived!

Emily sang at her 4th grade talent show in front of the WHOLE school! Her and two of her good buddies sang Count on Me and did a fantastic job!

Both girls ended their Wednesday night classes at church with Organized Mass Chaos. It definitely lived up to its name and the girls came home filthy but smiling ear to ear!

Liz had her 5th grade clap out at her elementary school! I held it together and didn’t cry.

Friday was the last day of school. The girls had their awards assembly and then left school early with friends. By the look on their faces, they were excited school was out! Can’t believe I have a 5th and 6th grader now.

Friday night we spent the evening at my sister’s house. We fished and went on a long four wheeler ride. It was a great start to our summer break!

Yesterday Emily had her first singing recital. She’s been taking lessons from Mrs. Sepulvado for a few months and was ready to try singing in front of a crowd by herself. She was nervous, but did excellent! I know I’m her mom, but she is very gifted with singing. I pray she sings for the Lord always and dream of her being on stage one day leading worship at a big church!

After Emily’s recital, we made it to Poplar Bluff in time for the end of my cousin’s graduation party. He is going into the Air Force this summer and we are proud of him! We didn’t stay long but it was nice to see family for a little bit.
