I don’t know about your family, but our family has been playing A LOT of card games during this quarantine.
Here are a few of our favorites:
Golf – Yes! This is a card game. Directions on how to play it found here. It’s one of my all time favorites!
Rummy– Me and my dad used to play this game for hours. I have taught both girls how to play it and play it WELL! There are a few variations on how to play this game, but the general idea of how to play it is here.
Gin Rummy– My nephew, Tyler, taught me how to play Gin Rummy the other day. It takes a lot more strategy and thinking than regular rummy. It is ideally for only 2 players and is a favorite for me and Chris to play when the girls are doing other stuff or in bed!
Taco, Cat, Goat, Cheese, Pizza– I have never laughed so hard than when I played this game! It took us a while to get the hang of it and to learn the motions of the “special” cards, but this game is so much fun! This is the game the girls pick every night to play. Find it on Amazon here. Garbage/Trash– This is a time consuming game, but a FUN game! Easy for kids to learn and an easy and fun way to pass an hour or two during this quarantine time. How to play it found here.
Speed– I am the queen of Speed! My girls are honestly pretty good at it and give me great competition with it…Chris, not so much! HA Directions on how to play the game here.
We just ordered Monopoly Deal with our next Wal-Mart pick up and hope it’s quicker to play than the regular Monopoly!
Hope y’all are doing well! Our state starts to re-open next week and I can’t wait! I plan to take a whole day to go to Hobby Lobby, TJ Maxx, Target, all the places!
I only have one boy that seems to enjoy playing card games; we like to play rummy, pitch, kings corner, and crazy 8’s.
Oh wow, I haven’t played some of these in forever. We used to play garbage…I have to look at how to play! Monopoly Deal is much faster and more fun than regular Monopoly!
Garbage is one of our favorites! Speed is the only other one on this list we have played. I need to check some of these other ones out. So fun that you guys are getting this time in!!
