Emily’s 11th Birthday

Happy Friday, friends!

I hope your summer is off to a great start.

We have been BUSY celebrating Emily Grace turning 11!

Boy, did we have a great time spoiling her.

The day before her birthday we took her up to St. Louis to attend a St. Louis Cardinals game.

They ended up losing by 1 run but we still had a great time together as a family.

The highlight of the night is that the girls made it on ESPN! We had so many people message us that evening saying they saw the girls on TV and that they were famous now!

Liz was so bashful at first and didn’t want to turn around and wave at the camera. Emily, of course, was smiling ear to ear!

The next day was Emily’s actual birthday.

We ate breakfast and then headed to the St. Louis Zoo. Emily is obsessed with penguins right now and her one request was to see a penguin on her birthday.

We got there early and were able to beat the heat and crowd! It was a great way to spend the day!

Later we went shopping, ate pizza, and ate ice cream. All of Emily’s favorite things!

And of course had to make another stop, but I think this was Chris’s request and not Emily’s!

Lastly, we had Emily’s “friend” birthday party this week.

After volleyball camp I let her invite some friends over for a swimming and pizza party.

When we woke up that morning there were crazy storms and I was so worried the weather would be bad, but we timed it perfectly and had a great afternoon!

Emily has such a great group of friends and it makes me so happy!

I can’t believe my baby is 11! Her heart is pure gold, she makes everyone laugh, and I’m so glad she’s mine!
