May Happenings

Hello, friends! After today, there are only 2 more days of school left and only 3 more days until we fly out on vacation!

There’s a lot to look forward to in our household!

May has been a busy month for us so far with the first highlighted thing being my oldest nephew, Tyler, graduating high school.

It was such a sweet week of celebrating him and we loved getting to support him at his graduation and watch him walk across the stage.

Next big thing was Emily had her Spring Sports Banquet and received her letter for track! We are so proud of her for lettering her freshmen year.

We also had a wonderful Mother’s Day together. We went to church with my mom and then ate lunch at Nini’s house. Days like this still make us miss Chris’s mom so bad! I don’t think the grief and hurt really ever goes away after losing a loved one.

Lastly, the other thing this month is we SOLD our house! We weren’t even trying to sell our house but we were approached by a couple to buy it and we couldn’t pass up the opportunity. We are just going to rent for 2 years until we build a house on our land after the girls graduate. More details to come on this, but we are excited!

So many changes coming for us, and even though change is hard, it’s also exciting!

I hope y’all have a great day and can survive the rest of the busyness of this season.

Be watching my IG stories this weekend to see the fun place we are going!

  1. First time reader here so congrats to your kids! And that’s cool you have a plan to build once your kids move out. I still have roughly 8 years until that happens (mine are 16, 13, and 10). Happy belated Mother’s day.

  2. That is all rather exciting– especially the house! Best of luck to you and I hope you have a wonderful vacation.

  3. Congrats on selling the house…what an amazing testimony that things just fell into place like that! Hope you have a wonderful start to the summer.
