A few weekends ago we had the annual Teen Challenge Banquet we attended.
It was such a great night honoring this wonderful ministry.
The theme this year was “Bridging the Gap” and Chris’s dad did a great job with everything.
Their goal and focus this year is on building a new facility that will be a halfway house. It will be for men that have completed the program and don’t have anywhere else to go or that maybe don’t want to go back to their old surroundings.
This place they can stay in for up to a year and will partner with local businesses to get a job and learn how to be introduced back into society after completing Teen Challenge.
I think it’s a great idea and there will be a higher success rate to teach these men how to bridge the gap and live life after drug addiction.
Chris’s cousin, Sumer, and her girls were able to come down and attend with us this year. They sang the opening song and did a beautiful job like always.
Here are some pictures from the evening.
