Life Lately

Life Lately

Hi, friends!

Today my oldest daughter, Elizabeth, turns 16! I can’t believe it! I’ve been so emotional thinking of how fast time goes and how it just seems like yesterday we were having her a Minnie Mouse party and she was so excited to turn 2. Now, she’ll be driving on her own and won’t rely on me as much. So bittersweet!

We are so proud of the young lady she is becoming!

Life lately has been so hectic. Having two teenagers in high school leaves very little down time for us.

I love it and I know I’ll miss it, but there are some weeks when I tell myself things have got to slow down, but it seems like they just keep going by faster and faster.

Both girls are thriving in high school and recently finished their fall volleyball season with winning our county tournament. The two sisters on the court together were fun to watch!

Chris spent a lot of time in the deer woods this fall. He hunted and patterned a particular deer with a drop tine and was able to get it with his bow during bow season. He was so excited!

Another thing that happened in our household is that I accepted a job as the elementary principal for next school year at Bloomfield Elementary.

This is a school district in our county only about 5 miles up the road from us. I had to interview before the board of education and it was an intense process to say the least.

I am so thankful for this opportunity and know I can bring great things to this school district!

It will be a big change for all of us since I won’t work in the same district as the girls and Chris anymore, but I am so excited!

We are currently in the last week of school before Christmas break. We are ready for a few days off from school to focus on the Christmas season and New Year together as a family.

I hope to be back this week with some more blogs, so be on the lookout for those.

I pray you have a blessed week!
