Happy Thursday, friends! It’s my favorite day of the week because it’s Adventure Thursday!
Today, I wanted to share three things about each member in our household with you! I haven’t done a post like this in a while and I love looking back on what the girls and Chris or myself were into at that certain time!
Chris
Chris just got his new boat in about a month ago. It is super nice and he is so excited about it! Needless to say, since COVID-19 has happened, he has had a lot of time for fishing! I don’t think he’s too sad about it!
We are nearing the 1 year mark of losing Chris’s mom. We have been talking about her a lot lately and missing her like crazy. Grief is hard and with Chris being an only child he sometimes feels “isolated” because he doesn’t have a sibling or someone to lean on during times like this. I try to comfort him the best I know how since losing my dad, but everyone grieves differently!
Chris keeps us all entertained daily during this quarantine.
Jen
I am getting back into focusing on my health and doing the Couch25K program. I need to lose about 10 pounds and I will feel so much better!
I recently binged watched All-American on Netflix and loved it! Can’t wait for season 3 to come out!
I have been working on a lot of curriculum things for next year already and love the ideas I am coming up with on how to teach 8th grade math even better!
Liz
Liz was totally devastated that her first MS volleyball season was cut short. I am missing watching her play so bad! We are hopeful her club team can continue with regionals after the restrictions are lifted.
Liz is obsessed with The Office right now! I blame Chris for this.
Liz has really gotten into baking. She can follow a recipe perfectly and has made all kinds of things for us lately! It’s great she has learned this, but not good for me wanting to lose 10 pounds! HA
Emily
Emily is loving the game 2-square right now! Any time it is nice outside and she is “bored”, she is begging one of us to go outside and play her in 2-square. She is actually really good at it too!
I taught both the girls how to do their laundry recently and Emily has been known to wear the same outfit for multiple days in a row just to save on how often she does laundry. Since we aren’t going anywhere, I haven’t minded that she’s doing this, but some days I have to physically force her to change clothes!
Emily is a social butterfly and is missing her friends like crazy during this time! She FaceTime’s her friends almost daily because it is crushing her not to see them.
Happy
Happy Sunshine turned 8 years old yesterday! I can’t believe it’s been 8 years since we got her.
She is LOVING this quarantine and us home with her all the time. Spoiled rotten!
She will still lay right by my feet and follow me around wherever I’m at. When she sees me put on my tennis shoes she knows we are going for a walk/run and jumps up and down like crazy! It’s the cutest thing!
Well, that rounds out our Thursday’s Three! I hope you all are having a great week and enjoying time with your family as much as I am!
That is perfect timing with the boat. We woke to snow flurries again today so it’s still a bit chilly to be out on the water yet. I can not wait to drag out our kayaks.
I write posts like this about once a month and enjoy them! I can relate to the sadness about volleyball as we have the same feelings about dance.
