Weekend Recap

Weekend Recap

It’s Monday! Hope your weekend was great!

Friday night we headed out to eat supper with Chris’s dad.

Chris and I just ended the 21 day fast and I was wanting a good steak!

Me and Emily had fun playing checkers while we waited for our table.

Saturday Liz had her last travel volleyball tournament for this season.

Emily stayed with a friend all day to keep her from being bored, so it was just Chris and I watching Liz at her tournament. One of our students snapped this picture of us and I actually love it. I love doing life with Chris!

Liz’s team ended up getting 2nd place in the Gold bracket. They lost by 3 in the third set, so that was heartbreaking, but a great game!

I love watching Liz play volleyball.

Saturday evening we made it back in time to watch our HS boys basketball team win our county championship.

They won by 2 and it was such a fun game! I think the atmosphere of HS basketball is great!

Sunday we cleaned house and did some other chores and then had my whole family came over for the Super Bowl.

It was a great evening with family! I love any chance to get together with them.

Did y’all catch the Super Bowl? We were rooting for the Chiefs and were happy they won!

The halftime show was not my favorite! Too risqué in my opinion, but man I hope I look half as good as Jennifer Lopez does when I’m 50.

Leaving you with our #selfieSunday. I pray you have a blessed week!

  1. What a beautiful weekend with your family! I love that you all got together for the game. It was a good one! I was sad to see the half-time show, I know I am in the minority here, but I think it could have been more tasteful and they could have worn more clothes. Other than that, our weekend was great too! Good to read a post from you, friend.

  2. Such a great football game. I was disappointed in the halftime show, because JLo & Shakira are incredible performers, and I think they took the easy route with the overtly sexual approach! I was looking for more Jenny from the block, and less JLo from her Vegas show. But hey, to each their own. (But dang they both look incredible)! Happy Monday, friendn

  3. I completely agree about the halftime show. They are both so talented, and I would have like a little more fabric in their clothing and more tasteful dancing. Kind of embarassing to watch with a teenage son! Way to go on the fast! Thanks for linking up with Hello Monday! Tanya – The Other Side of the Road
