Our weekend was full of family and friends.
Just the way I like it.
Friday night we celebrated Liz turning 13 with her friend’s birthday party. Read about it here.
Saturday was a full day! Emily had her first basketball game of the season EARLY in the morning!
They lost, but played well. They have improved a bunch since last year and will be fun to watch this season. 
That afternoon Emily had a birthday party to attend and had a blast! Liz and I cleaned the house a little while she was gone.
Then that evening we hosted Emily’s basketball team over for an Ugly Christmas Sweater party. They played games, made gingerbread houses, and had a lot of fun!
Sunday we went to Doniphan to church with my sister and family. My father in-law actually preached at their church and did a great job. It was wonderful to see people from our hometown!
Sunday afternoon the girls had a choir concert at school. I love all things Christmas music and enjoyed listening to the choirs sing.
Sunday evening we ended the night with having my family coming over to celebrate Liz’s birthday again. She is one loved little girl teenager!

Does it feel any different being the mom of a brand new teenager? You have such sweet daughters, I am sure the tween and teen years will go smoothly. What fun to have an ugly Christmas sweater party complete with gingerbread houses.
She’s not official I don’t guess until Thursday, but I wonder how in the world she’s this old?!!? She should still be a baby. Gingerbread houses are a lot harder to make than what I remembered! We ended up getting my hot glue gun out. LOL
