Life Lately

TGIF!

Thank you for your encouragement yesterday about finding joy and being back blogging.

I love the blogging community!

I have so much I could share with you from when I took my hiatus, but I thought I’d just highlight a few things.

We went to FL at the end of the summer and had a wonderful time. Navarre, FL will always be our favorite place to go.

The girls started 6th and 7th grade. Aren’t they beautiful?!?

They both attended the back to school dance and had a blast with their friends.

Liz made her debut as a Middle School cheerleader. Their squad is so good this year and fun to watch! Liz will be 13 soon and makes me proud every day.

We celebrated my grandma turning 84 a few weeks ago and surprised her by attending church with her on her birthday. She LOVED it! I know my dad was smiling from heaven.

We’ve been busy with attending football games, volleyball games, and basketball games. Our football homecoming game was last weekend and we had our annual Community Tailgate before it.

Emily has been struggling in MS but we finally have a plan in place to help her with her dyslexia. She works so hard and is such a great kid! She makes me proud and I’m so glad I get to be her mom!

Chris sold his boat!?!? Can you believe it?!?

Only so he can buy a newer and bigger one. No worries! HA

Well, that’s all I have time for today.

Hope everyone has a great Friday!

  1. So great catching up with you here. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that family picture of you all jumping in the air on the beach!!!!!

  2. I have to guess that their dance was an 80’s themed dance? I remember dressing just like when I was in middle school! We once had a “neon” themed party. Those beach pictures look so fun.

  3. I just love the beach jumping pic! The girls look so cute with their friends. Cheerleading looks like fun. Have a wonderful weekend!

  4. What a precious family. And boy, can y’all get air!! Great photos.

Looks like your girls are off to very successful school years. Seventh grade is tough. Supposed to be the toughest grade socially/emotionally for girls. Looks like you guys have this, though!

    1. I hope and pray we have good MS years. It’s so tough! I teach 8th grade math so I have a good understanding of how things work in MS brains. But both my girls have awesome friend groups!
