Vacations

Fourth Fun

I’m super late in posting all our fun from the 4th of July, but still wanted to share it with you all!

We were able to go up to Lake of the Ozarks with Chris’s family and had the best time!

I will let the pictures speak for themselves, but one memory I had to put on here so I remember it forever!

After a long day of swimming and being outside, we all decided to go into town and eat supper at Pizza Hut.

From the moment we arrived, it was like we were on that tv show PUNK’d.

Everything that could go wrong did.

BUT the funniest thing that happened is when our waiter brought out our pizza. I had ordered a large half pepperoni and half cheese pizza and that is LITERALLY what we got!

One side of the pizza had NO CHEESE on it!?!? I have never had this happen before and we all laughed so hard!!!!

When the waiter came back and we asked why there was no cheese on that side, he said that when he got it out of the oven he burned his hand and dropped the pizza and the cheese slid right off!?!?

I’m not even kidding you!!! I can’t make this stuff up.

So we were like, only half the cheese slid off and the pepperonis stayed perfectly in their spot?!? And you are serving us a pizza that was dropped on the floor?!?

We asked to get a new one made since this one fell on the floor and is missing half the cheese.

It was so weird! It’s one of those stories where you just had to be there to witness it all, but I haven’t laughed that hard in so long!

(Sidenote: they forgot to make us a new pizza; thankfully our family had lots of extra pizza that we ate off of)

The rest of the days we were at the lake we went on the boat, tubed, rode golf carts, swam in the pool, went down the slide and on the blob, ate ice cream every night, watched fireworks and had loads of fun!

I’m so thankful for this time with Chris’s family. Our hearts were sad because Lequeeta would’ve loved to be there with us, but it was great medicine for us knowing she would love her brother and mom and all of us together having a great time!

  1. Sounds and looks like a fun weekend and I am sure you’ll be laughing over “floor pizza” for years to come.
