Weekend Recap

Weekend Recap

Hi, friends! We are out of school again today and I’m so glad!!

It was a busy weekend so I’m thankful for the extra day of rest.

Friday night we were supposed to have volleyball practice for Emily’s team and then some friends over, but the weather cancelled these plans.

I was totally fine with staying in and staying warm!

Saturday morning after the ice had cleared we headed to Springfield. We met my sister and her family there and we had a great day together.

Our first stop was Bass Pro.

While the men shopped, Julie and I took the kids to the new Wonders of Wildlife Aquarium.

I was really impressed with the aquarium! The kids loved it and the animals were all really neat. My favorite was the octopus!

After this, we ate a nice dinner together at Springfield and then headed back home.

Sunday we were up early and on the road for a full day of volleyball with Liz’s team.

They made it to the gold bracket again but lost in the first game of the tournament. They had some really good rallies but just couldn’t get the points and the win.

I love watching them play and get better every tournament.

Little sister was worn out from our busy weekend!

And on our drive home we witnessed a beautiful sunset.

Leaving you with our #selfieSunday. I pray you have a blessed week!

Linking up with Johannah, Heather, Tanya, and Lindsay!

    1. We only did the aquarium part of it so not as expensive as doing the museum and everything else. A little pricey but I thought it was worth it after going through it.

  1. So much to say…that aquarium looks amazing. I am so excited, I have never been to an aquarium in my life and we are going to go to one this summer on vacation. Also, that sunset is beautiful, I love the Sunday selfie and those volleyball pictures are great!

  2. That aquarium looks incredible! You know I love all the volleyball pictures. Will Liz be trying out for your team this year!? Happy Monday.

    1. She’s in 6th grade this year, so not until next school year as a 7th grader. Then when she’s an 8th grader and Emily a 7th grader I could
potentially have them both! Fun, fun!! 😜
