Book Review

January Book Review

Happy Thursday, friends!  We are almost to the weekend!

I know I am late to the party, but do you have Goodreads?

I just got it and am so far loving it to keep track of the books I’ve read for the year!  My goal is to read 50 books for 2019.

That’s averaging about 1 book a week for the year.  In the summer I read WAY more, so I think I will be able to reach my goal.

Here are the books I read for January:

Laine was kidnapped 13 years ago and now Olivia Shaw is missing. Are the kidnappings related? This was such a great story and easy read. I read it within 2 days because I had to find out what happened!

5/5 stars

Thyme has to move to New York because her brother has cancer and got accepted to participate in a new drug trial to help his cancer.

She’s mad and doesn’t know how to find her way in a new place.

But with the help of her nanny and a grouchy neighbor, Thyme learns to find her way.

Loved this book! 4/5 stars. (Only gave it 4 stars because I wish we would’ve found out what happened to Val, the brother, in the future. The ending should’ve been different).

This was a book that I found myself constantly thinking about.  I read it in 2 days!

It was about Laurel who lost her daughter Ellie when she was only 13 years old.  Years later, Laurel meets Floyd who has a daughter named Poppy.  Poppy reminds Laurel so much of Ellie.

Are they connected in some way?  Or is Laurel just missing her daughter all these years later?  This had a great plot twist and I always had to find out what happened next!

5/5 stars

I loved this book also!  Can you tell I love all fiction books??  This story was about an author, Emiline, who is having a hard time writing a story.

She picks up a book for inspiration from a new author named J. Colby.  Comes to find out that this book was about her childhood and was written from her first love/best friend Jackson.

Emiline has to relive her hard childhood and face Jackson again after 12 years.  Will she still love him or hate him for writing her story?

5/5 stars

What books have you read lately?  I have a lot of books on my want to read list right now!  There just aren’t enough hours in the day.

See you tomorrow for Friday Favorites.
