Branson Trip December 2018

How is it Monday already?!?

We had a wonderful weekend getaway and it was a great way to kick off the holiday season!

If you don’t want to “read” all about our trip and would rather “watch” my YouTube video I made, click on the video below. I LOVE making these iMovies! It has WAY more videos and pictures than this blog post.

Friday we left around noon and headed to Branson.

We had to make a stop at Springfield and go to Bass Pro to pick some things up for Chris. Imagine that?!?

We finally made it to Branson and met up with my sister and her family for supper.

After that, we immediately left the men to fish and Julie and I went shopping with the kids. (Minus Zach, he wanted to stay and fish)

We closed the outlet mall down!

Saturday morning the men were up early to trout fish ALLLLLLL day!

We headed to the Branson Landing to shop again. We found so many good deals!

Next up we went and picked Zach up from fishing with the men and headed to Silver Dollar City.

We let the kids ride a few rides first.

Then, we went and watched A Dicken’s Christmas Carol show. If you have the chance to see this show at SDC, do it! It was SO good and the special effects were amazing.

After the show, we went to the Christmas parade and then just walked around and enjoyed all the lights.

Silver Dollar City was beautiful! The pictures don’t do it justice at all! I’m so thankful we were able to go and take the kids to show them the lights.

I love my sister so much! She makes any trip fun.

Obligatory pictures in front of the big SDC sign:

Late that evening, the men stopped trout fishing long enough to meet us in town for ice cream and funnel cakes at Cakes N’ Cream. It was a great ending to a wonderful day!

Sunday we slept in a little bit, ate a huge breakfast at Cracker Barrel, and made our way back home.

We picked the dogs up and did LOTS of homework to get the girls ready for the week ahead.

Leaving you with our #selfieSunday. Photo credit to my nephew, Zach, at Cracker Barrel.

I pray you have a blessed week!

  1. Joe and I were saying the same thing this morning about it being Monday already. He said he woke up to the alarm thinking it was Saturday… ha; what a disappoint that would be. 😉 After your fun weekend, no wonder Monday came fast. So glad you guys were able to do that. Happy new week!!
