Weekend Recap

Good morning!  Hope you are finding yourself well this Monday morning.

We have another busy week, but first I wanted to recap our weekend for you.  I’m linking up with Johannah, Lindsay, and Heather for their Hello, Monday link-up.

Friday we took the 8th graders on an all-day field trip.  It was at our local Stars and Stripes museum and they had different booths set up for different eras.  The Vietnam booth and flame throwing booth were my favorites!  It was a good day, but HOT!  I never thought it would be 96 degrees in October for this field trip!

Friday after school, Emily went with a friend and Liz was heading to the football game with some friends, so Chris went fishing.  I was just too tired from the field trip to do anything else outside.  I stayed home and cleaned the house really well and taught a few VIPKID classes.  Wild Friday night!

Saturday started with you guess it……volleyball!  Emily’s team won easily in two sets.  She played GREAT!  And to make it even better, her BFF high school player, Darcie, came and watched her play.  Seeing her face light up when she realized Darcie was there was priceless!  I’m thankful for high school girls that know little girls look up to them and they are good role models!

Liz’s team went to three sets and ended up getting the win too!  Liz always plays hard and makes me proud.  For this particular day they only played with 5 players and were still able to get the win.  They are a great team and work really well together!

Saturday afternoon the girls and I went to PB and got groceries and went to Hobby Lobby.  This is becoming our Saturday ritual.  We stopped for Baskin Robbins ice cream on the way home also!  It was yummy.

Saturday evening, Emily went to a friend’s birthday party so Chris and I took Liz out to eat.  It was nice to have one on one time with her.

When we got home, Chris helped me hang some B’s I got at Hobby Lobby to add to my B wall.  I love collecting unique B’s and Hobby Lobby had some cute new ones.

Sunday morning I taught a few VIPKID classes, and then went back to bed.  I can’t seem to get caught up on my sleep!

That afternoon, Chris took Liz to Cape to mess around at the farm and Emily had a few friends over to paint pumpkins.

They played 4-square and painted pumpkins and sang along to music as loud as possible.  It was a great afternoon.

While Emily’s friends were over, I did homework!  I have so much to get caught up on and made myself sit down for a few hours and work on it.  I got 2 out of my 12 tasks completed, so I feel a little better about myself!

Sunday evening we were LAZY!  We watched football and got everything ready for the week.

Leaving you with our #selfieSunday.  I pray you have a blessed week!
