Photo Every Hour

Happy Wednesday, friends!  Can you believe it’s August??

We’ve had beautiful weather this week here in MO and you can’t help but be in a good mood!

I planned to do a “Day in the Life” post this summer, but time got away from me.  Yesterday, however, I managed to take a photo every hour to show you what a typical day of my life looks like in the summer time.

The rule with this post is that no matter what I’m doing at the beginning of each hour, I snap a picture of it!  It was a busy day in our house!  Hope you enjoy!

7:00 A.M.

Max has been my alarm clock most mornings this summer and he didn’t whimper until about 6:45 on this particular morning.  I took him outside and then we let him run around in our room and on our bed for a while.

8:00 A.M.

I went for my morning run!  I will miss doing this whenever time allows me in the summer.  I am going to “try” to get up at 5:00 every morning and get my run in once school starts.  We will see how that goes…

9:00 A.M.

Chris and I cleaned out a storage closet in our house.  We have really been knocking out our to-do list this week since it’s our last week of freedom!  We definitely procrastinated, but we work best under pressure!

10:00 A.M.

I got things together to sell online.  This was just miscellaneous items from cleaning out multiple closets the last few days.  I watched The Price is Right during this time also.

11:00 A.M.

I was eating lunch at this time.  We eat lunch and supper early compared to most!

12:00 P.M.

I took advantage of the beautiful day and washed my car and vacuumed it really good.  It was much needed and now I will start the school year with a clean car!

1:00 P.M.

Chris and I sat down together and paid a BUNCH of medical bills off.  I am so thankful we were able to do this!

2:00 P.M.

I swam (by myself) and read my book by the pool.  The girls thought it was too cold to swim.  The water was chilly, but felt great after you were in there for a while.

3:00 P.M.

Ran errands in town.  Had to pay the water and sewer bill and run by Wal-Mart for a few things.  I thought Liz’s insulin was ready, but it won’t be ready until today, so I will head back.

4:00 P.M.

Organized my spice cabinet in the kitchen.  It was a little out of control also….

5:00 P.M.

Cooking supper.  We had yummy chicken bacon ranch quesadillas with grapes and macaroni and cheese.

6:00 P.M.

I went up to my classroom and worked.  Every time I go up there I think of something else to do!

7:00 P.M.

We took Max on a walk and let Emily stop at the playground to play.  (Liz was at a friend’s house). Max was funny and got tangled up with Chris on our way back to his truck.

8:00 P.M.

We took a load of donation stuff to the mission.

9:00 P.M.

Time to finish my homework!  I submitted my last paper for my summer class and it felt good!  I only have one more semester to go and then I graduate in December.  YAY!

10:00 P.M.

Worked on this blog and watched King of Queens with Chris.

11:00 P.M.

Lights out!

Whew!  Are you still with me?? I hope you are!

Today is my hair day and I am looking forward to it.  I love my hairdresser and love the two hours away from the house to get my hair done!

Have a great day, friends!  Tell someone what they mean to you today!

  1. Hey baby girl. Just letting you know you mean the world to your mom!! Love you bunches!!

    1. It was a busy one for us! I want to document a day in the life of Liz post for other diabetics and to raise awareness of what all they go through! Think that would be a good post?

  2. AHHHHH!!! YAY! One more class to go! You will not even believe how good it feels to be done! I still get butterflies thinking about when I submitted my last paper. Ha! That was two years ago. You had a great day. I am going to miss being able to get my walks in during the morning (or whenever I can get them in) and sitting down to eat lunch and watch TV. We eat lunch around 11 and dinner around 5 each day. I loved this post! Happy Wednesday!

    1. Yes, I will miss my freedom. I’m ready for more structure though. Yesterday I took a nap and then was wide awake at midnight. I have to get out of that habit! HA
Can’t wait for my degree to be done!
