Adventure Tuesday

Adventure Tuesday

Happy Thursday!

Before I talk about our adventure, I wanted to share a verse that has been on my heart this week:

Deuteronomy 31:8, “The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

Hope this verse encourages someone else today!

Our Adventure Tuesday this week was a HOT one!

We went to the beautiful Elephant Rocks State Park near Ironton, MO.

Basically, this is a big park area with HUGE boulders that resemble circus elephants. You can climb them, walk through them, and enjoy all kinds of different trails around the rocks.

We were feeling even more adventurous and decided to take Max with us this week. We didn’t want to attempt taking both dogs yet, so Happy stayed home. We will get braver and take both dogs one day. {Maybe?!?}

I didn’t get a lot of pictures from the day. It was hot, I was trying to teach Max how to walk with a leash, constantly worried about the girls falling off a rock, or Liz’s sugar going too low. #reallife

It was a great day, though! We ended up hiking close to two miles. I’m not sure how high we had to climb up the rocks, but when we got to the top, the views were breathtaking. {I estimate it was probably about 1,000 feet or so high}

The girls were great sports about our adventure this week. It was 90 degrees with a heat index of 96, so once we did the trail and climbed to the highest point, we left.

I told Chris next week we need to find some water for our adventure! HA

Thanks for reading my blog. Enjoy your last day of May!
