Happy Wednesday! It’s the last Wednesday in May! I can’t believe another month has already come and gone. I am linking up with Shay, Mel, and Sheaffer and sharing with you my monthly What’s Up Wednesday post.
What I’m reminiscing about:
My dad…. Saturday marks one year since he passed away. It seems like it was just yesterday but it also seems so long ago at the same time. I am working on a blog post about one year without him, but it’s HARD!
What I’m loving:
Not having to set an alarm to get up in the mornings. I LOVE summer!
What we’ve been up to:
May was such a busy month with end of the school year activities. We survived the end of the school year and have since been busy swimming, going to the river, and playing with our new puppy, Max
What I’m dreading:
Nothing at the moment!
What I’m excited about:
Vacation! We leave for the beach in 10 days.
What I’m watching:
NBA playoffs! I SO wanted the Rockets to beat the Warriors, but they just couldn’t make it happen. The Warriors are tough to beat. I am rooting for LeBron to beat them in the finals!
What I’m reading:
I just started The Family Next Door and am already almost finished with it! So many plot twists.
What I’m wearing:
Since it’s summer I live in my swimsuit/cover-up, or Nike shorts and tank top. When I did get dressed the last few days of school, here were my outfits:
What I’m listening to:
Random mixture of a lot of songs. My favorite right now would be Reckless Love. Listen to it here.
What I’m doing this weekend:
Friday night we are having a fish fry at my sister’s house in honor of my dad. Saturday I will probably be a big ball of emotions. Sunday we are going to celebrate Chris and my sister’s birthdays. Swimming and playing with the dogs will be thrown in there also.
What I’m looking forward to next month:
In June, Chris turns 35, we celebrate 14 years of marriage, and we are headed to the BEACH! We are also hopeful that Liz gets the new Dexcom G6 that is going to come out. It means no more finger sticks!
