Weekend Recap

Weekend Recap

Happy Monday! Liz is headed to the doctor today with Chris for her 4-month diabetes check up and Chris’s mom should know the results from her scans this weekend, so I’m a ball of nerves. Add on that it’s MAP testing week, and I can predict that it’s going to be a crazy week!

We had a great weekend and I’m linking up with Heather, Johannah, and Lindsay to share all about it.

Friday after school Emily had a couple of friends over to play since the weather has been so nice! They jumped on the trampoline, rode bikes, and walked the dog. It was nice to see them enjoy playing outside and just being kids!

We then headed up to Cape for Elizabeth’s volleyball games. They played two games and won both of them! I know I say it every week, but I love watching them play volleyball! They encourage each other and have fun playing the game!!

Saturday morning was a day full of baseball! Liz’s choir was singing at the St. Louis Cardinals baseball game so I dropped her off at the school at 7:45 a.m. to catch the bus. She rode up with the choir and we (me, my mom, and Emily) followed behind them.

Chris had a middle school baseball tournament all day so he wasn’t able to go with us. He was sad he had to miss it!

We made it to St. Louis around noon and had about an hour before the game started. We ate lunch and walked around the stadium and enjoyed the beautiful day!

Liz’s choir sang BEAUTIFULLY, the weather was GORGEOUS, and the Cardinals WON! It was a great day! I’m so thankful Liz was able to experience this with her friends. I was also glad my mom went with us since Chris couldn’t go!

Liz’s 5th grade choir sang God Bless America! They were the best choir of the day.

Cardinals scored 3 home runs and I was able to get one on video! I love the fireworks that go off after each home run.

My sister was up in St. Louis that afternoon so we met her in Arnold for supper and then headed back home. The girls were worn out!

When we got back to Dexter we took Emily to a sleepover for her friend’s birthday. They made slime and had the best time playing. I’m thankful my girls both have great friends.

Sunday we went to Doniphan and ate lunch at my Nini’s house. I love Sunday lunches with family! Great memories made and stories shared.

We came home Sunday evening and the girls played downstairs and I started a new book while Chris watched basketball.

Leaving you with our #selfieSunday. I pray you have a blessed week! (And Emily is wearing the same hoodie as last week, I know). I can’t wait until the weather is warmer so we can go outside for our pics again, too!

  1. I want to know what you think of that book. I liked Redeeming Love by her! What a fun weekend and yay for singing at the Cardinals, so cool!!!!

  2. Oh what a fun weekend! That is a memory that’ll last forever!! Her class did so well! Praying for y’all as you start testing & have Liz’s check-ups! 🙂

  3. What a fun weekend you guys had! So awesome to go to a Cardinals game! Just because I was curious I went on stubhub.com to see prices of a Cardinals game….and ohhh myy!!! I am SO jealous that the tickets are so cheap! Red Sox tickets for just regular seats are close to $100 a piece. If you want to be anywhere close to the field you’re looking at around $180.00 a ticket. It’s pretty insane!

I’m keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers this week!!
