Weekend Recap

Hi, friends! Happy Monday! This weekend went by crazy fast.

Friday night we had a volleyball game at Advance and the bus left right after school.

We ended with the win and I was back home by 7:30 so it was a great evening!

When I got home I cleaned the house up a little and then watched March Madness with Chris! Can you believe UMBC beat Virginia!?! What a great game! We had to google what UMBC even stood for!

Saturday morning started early with us catching the bus for our volleyball tournament at 7:30 a.m.! It was a 7th grade tournament but our 8th graders went to cheer and support the girls.

It was a long day of volleyball but we ended with 1st place! I was proud of how well the girls played and rallied together. It was fun to watch them!

Of course, I had to take a selfie with some girls so they could make the blog! They are pretty special to me.

My girls were with Nana all day and got spoiled rotten while I was at volleyball and Chris worked at TC.

After I got home late Saturday afternoon, we headed to Doniphan to see my mom, Nini, and sister.

We stopped by the river and enjoyed the beautiful afternoon together.

We ate supper at Snappy’s and then visited at my sister’s house. It was a great evening and reminds me how blessed I am with great family!

Sunday was a day full of relaxation! I napped, watched March Madness, and napped some more.

Sunday we fought a major low with Liz. Her Dexcom told us she was 78 with straight arrow down and she finger pricked and was actually 45! That was the lowest she had ever been. We gave juice and gummies and it brought her up to 76, but then 20 minutes later she was back down to 68. So we let her eat one Kit Kat bar and drink milk and that finally did the trick! I won’t lie and tell you I was a little nervous her sugar wasn’t going to go up, but thankfully it did!

Chris’s parents came over for a little while, and then my sister and her family stopped by on their way home from Cape.

Emily played with the neighbor boy all afternoon and posted this picture on her IG account. I already tell my friend, Amber, that I want to arrange their marriage now! He’s the sweetest boy and loves to hunt and fish, so Chris already approves!

Sunday night was for watching more March Madness, trying to do my homework, and finishing up the laundry.
