Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Sickness hit our household this week with Chris getting strep, so it’s been a crazy week!  I am hopeful no one else gets it!

Today, I am linking up with Andrea, Erika, and Narci for some Friday Favorites.

ONE

I mentioned earlier that Elizabeth was selling slime to raise money for diabetes awareness and JDRF.  You can find her on IG @type_one_derful_slime.  Her friend, Ben, and his mom printed off business cards for Elizabeth to give out when someone purchases her slime, or to help promote her slime business!  How sweet of them to think of Liz and do that for her?!?!  They look great!

TWO

I had a few people share this slime song parody with me because they knew of my girls’ love for slime!  I laughed a little too loudly when I watched it the first time because it describes the slime world so well!

THREE

I was sad to hear of Billy Graham passing away this week.  Although him passing away is not my favorite, the legacy he left for millions of people is definitely a favorite.  He was a true faithful servant to the Word of God and I know he is rejoicing in Heaven.  I hope my dad has found him already and is asking him questions.  I was blessed to hear him speak in St. Louis at a youth convention when I was younger.  His message was simple, but powerful and one we should all try to reach the lost with more.  God LOVES us so much he died on the cross to save us from our sins!  Amen!

FOUR

I have still been thinking about the school shooting in Florida last week.  Being a teacher and mom, I can’t seem to get it out of my mind.  This video that ABC News shared of a dad that just lost his daughter is the most powerful video I’ve seen regarding the school shooting issues. No matter how you feel about gun rights or mental health issues, there HAS to be something done about school safety!  Our kids should never be scared to go to school.  Please take the time to watch it.

Hope y’all have a great weekend!  We are headed to Mississippi for a cheer competition.  It’s the first once since Liz’s diagnosis so I’m a little anxious about how she will do! Prayers are appreciated.
