Weekend Recap

Weekend Recap

Happy Monday! Only a few days left of January?!? Craziness!

We had a wonderful weekend and hope you did too.

Friday night the girls and Chris hung out in my room with me for a while so I could finish up a things before we went home.

Chris went to Paducah after school to look at a truck so the girls and I hung out at home until we headed into town.

We washed my car when we got into town. It was filthy from all the snow and rain we’ve had lately!

We then headed to our high school for the championship night of our Stoddard County boys basketball tournament. It was crowded, but such a great night! The girls quickly found their friends and I was able to sit by my good friend, Kristi, so it was a great night for me too!

Our JV won first place, our Varsity got 2nd place, and our cheerleaders took home 1st place for the 5th year in a row! It was a great night to be a Bearcat.

Saturday morning I had to be at a volleyball coaches meeting by 9:00. The girls game along with me since I don’t trust Liz to be by herself yet and Chris was working at Teen Challenge.

We got all our games scheduled for our 5th grade travel team. I’m excited for their season! I can’t be at a lot of the games because I am coaching MS, but am helping as much as I can.

After my meeting we came home and straightened the house up and ate lunch and then headed to Cape for a fun-filled girls afternoon!

We got our nails done, went shopping, and ate Chick-Fil-A. It was a great day with my girls! The days are long but the years are short is SO true! They are growing up so quickly on me.

When Chris got off work we all went out to his parents house and visited with them. I love this picture of the girls with their Nana and Papa! Can you tell they love their granddaughters?!??

When we got back to Dexter late that night I went to Walmart to get our groceries for the week. I love going on Saturday nights! It so quiet and no one is there.

Sunday was church and then a whole lot of relaxing. I worked on making the travel volleyball teams schedule and worked on some homework for my college classes right now.

Emily had piano and voice Sunday evening instead of tonight, so I took her to her lesson and stayed in the car and read while I waited. It was a nice 30 minutes to myself!

Sunday evening we watched the Grammy’s and rested for the week ahead.

Leaving you with our #selfieSunday. I think it’s the worst selfie in our history. It was so sunny and not a good angle! Oh, well. I pray you have a blessed week!

Linking up with Heather and Johannah for Hello, Monday.

  1. What a great weekend with your family. I think one of my favorite parts about teaching is that my kids and husband can come hang out while I pack up or they can help me set up in the summer. I love how much family time you all got in this weekend. Woohoo for a girls afternoon. Have a great week!
