Friday Faves

Happy Friday and Happy December!  I can’t believe we are in the last month of this year!  This week has kept me busy and away from blogging.  I hope to get better at sharing a few things next week with you all!  I love this crazy time of year, though!

Quick update on my MIL because I have had so many of you asking about her.  She has to have six months of chemo before they are able to do the HIPEC surgery at MD Anderson.  She is able to have the chemo in her hometown though, so that’s a great thing.  Please continue to pray for her.

Today I am linking up with NarciErika, and Andrea to share with you my Friday Favorites.

I got a new pair of jeans from American Eagle that I LOVE!  I am 6′ tall, so it’s VERY hard to find jeans that fit me well.  I am really impressed with these jeggings so far, and found them on sale for $22, so that’s even better!

I loved this sweet little note that Chris left for me on my computer.  Perks of working together.

Our dog, Happy, is the BEST dog!  She lets the girls do pretty much anything to her.  This particular morning Emily wondered if her teacher would notice if she brought Happy to school with her.  Happy just laid in her backpack like it was no big deal.

Our elf, Sparkle, is back!  The girls were so glad to see her!

Saw this quote on FB the other night and loved it!  I am trying to raise two strong girls that don’t care what others think about them and to just be their self!  Easier said than done because even as adults we want people to love and accept us.

This week I am extra thankful for the kindness of others!  I had a package that was supposed to be delivered on Tuesday and got the email confirmation at school that it was delivered.  BUT, when we got home there was no package to be found.  I, of course, freaked out a little bit because it had a very important birthday gift in it!  I looked everywhere and knew there was nothing to do until the post office opened up the next day.  I was SO relieved though when our neighbors from the next street over brought our package to us!  They saved the day!  Come to find out, the mail route had a sub driver that day, so she got confused with the addresses and delivered our mail to the wrong house.  I am so glad there are still good, honest people in this world and my package was safely delivered to us!  (Thank you, Michelle and Chris)

The girls have really been taking more of an initiative in the kitchen for me.  Really, at all the household chores.  I make them do quite a bit, but they are just at the age where they can do SO much more and it’s WONDERFUL for this momma!

Anyways, Chris asked them to bake a cake for him last night.  I didn’t even set foot in the kitchen, they did it all alone!  They were so proud of themselves and it turned out really good after you got past eating all the sprinkles!

Thanks for stopping by and reading today.  I would love for you to follow me on IG @jennifermbolin or by email here on the blog.

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend!
