Friday Favorites

Happy Friday!

Sorry I have been MIA with blogging this past week.  We’ve had a lot of things going on, and I have just been in a “funk” and haven’t felt like blogging.  I have a very important unspoken prayer request that I would love for you all to join with me in praying for.

Today I am linking up with Narci, Erika, and Andrea to share with you a few of my Friday Favorites.

ONE

My mom and sister bought me new chairs for my table downstairs for my birthday!  They are perfect and exactly what I wanted.  I love the look of the metal chairs and the girls use this table all the time now that we have chairs for it.  We have played many games as a family down there already and know it will be a great hang-out spot in the future.  Thanks mom and sis!

TWO

These pictures do NOT do this necklace justice!  My mom gave me this necklace and it is so precious to me!  It is an engraved picture of me and dad on one side and then on the back it says, “I used to be his Angel, now he’s mine.”  I’ll admit, the day I wore it to school I got really choked up when the kids asked me who the picture was of.  I miss my dad SO much!  But this necklace is such a wonderful gift of remembering him.

THREE

The last favorite for this week is that my girls are playing volleyball together.  It is so much fun to watch them on the court at the same time.  It is through Dexter’s park league and I am the coach, so they both had to be on my team.  I was worried about how that might go, but so far, so good.  Elizabeth has actually been really nice about working with Emily and showing her how to improve on things.  It will be fun watching them together for many more years on the volleyball court!

Hope you all have a great weekend.  We have a football game tonight and then I hope it’s a low-key weekend just getting caught up on things around the house and resting.
