Good Monday Morning! What a beautiful day the Lord has made! When I went on my run this morning I couldn’t help but feel loved and blessed.
It was a crazy weekend for us. I sat down to share the pictures from this weekend, but realized I didn’t take very many at all. Then I realized I never have shared quite a few pictures that were on my phone, so I’m just going to upload a lot of random pictures in this post.
Life Lately has been busy for us. We are trying to get back into somewhat of a normal routine since dad passing away. Grief is a real thing and I won’t lie to you all ~ there are days where I just want to lay in bed all day and cry missing my dad. However, I know he would want me to live my life and make memories with Chris and the girls, so that’s exactly what I do. Everything just feels a little bit different since dad died. There is a void there that I know will never be replaceable. I’m so thankful that God is there for me and comforting me through this time. I also have the best family and friends a girl could ask for.
Anyways, here is a look into our life lately:
We have swam A LOT! Pretty much every day you can find us in the pool together for at least a few hours.
The girls have had friends over to play and swim.
We helped my sister and brother in-law put their pool up at their house. I will spare Matt the embarrassment of telling the funny story that goes along with this on my blog. Let’s just say we learned the hard way to make sure our measurements were correct!
The girls were at church camp last week and had a blast! We picked them up on Saturday and we were so glad to see them! Emily didn’t leave my side the rest of that day.
The main thing we have been doing lately is helping my mom fix things around her house. It was in desperate need for some updating so our family has gotten together to do a few things. I’m so glad we are able to help my mom out and do this for her. My aunts, uncles, and Nini are amazing and have done so much of the work. I have been there to just do whatever is needed. While the girls were at church camp last week I was over at Doniphan every day except Thursday helping. I can’t wait to share some pictures when we get things completely finished. Saturday (June 24) when we were working was my Aunt Niki’s birthday, so Emily found us all party hats and made us wear them all day. It was hilarious watching my uncles lay flooring with their pink unicorn hats on!
Since we’ve been at Doniphan a lot, the girls have had a lot of time playing with their cousins, Tyler and Zach. Cousins truly do make the best of friends!
Leaving you with two of our #selfieSundays. I pray you have a blessed week!
Thanks for stopping by and reading my blog!

Shew! Y’all have been busy lately. Love seeing all those smiles. We are still praying for you. Grief is no joke, and I’m praying for you friend. I know days are hard, but just continue to rest on Jesus! Happy Monday!
Thanks, Britt!
I’ve been thinking about you and praying for you. I’m so glad you have gotten in so much family time. I’m sure everyone appreciates your help whether it’s home updates or pool construction. You are very giving and generous.
Thanks, Tara!
Lots of prayers for all of you! Grief is SO hard and I am so sorry. On a brighter note, I loved this recap. What a fun time you have all been having. Cousins really do make the best of friends, my cousin and his wife are some of our closest friends and we are always doing things together with our families and have card nights all the time. I hope my kids are close to their cousins when they grow up. I love that you guys have been helping with so many projects too. I hope you have a great week ahead!
Thanks, Jenna!
