I am asking for you to lift up my dad, Tim, in your prayers!
I am typing this as Chris and I are driving to St. Louis. They had to air evac my dad to Barnes Hospital where he will go in for emergency brain surgery.
We took him to the ER in Doniphan because his confusion was only getting worse and he was refusing to take his medicine and couldn’t walk. Also, he was talking out of his mind way worse than normal.
He fell on Friday and hit his head and hasn’t been the same since. What we thought was related to his dementia, actually turned out to be a severe brain bleed from his fall.
His brain bleed is 1.5 cm and in his frontal lobe. Because of his history with brain tumor and seizures, any type of brain surgery is extremely risky.
Please pray that this surgery is a success and stops the brain bleed. Also, that there aren’t any complications with it and dad recovers fine.
He will be in the hospital for at least 3 days for observation after the surgery.
Pray for my mom. She hasn’t slept much since Friday and is plum exhausted. She also hurt her back a little when she was trying to get dad to bed the other night.
I am an emotional wreck. I have cried all weekend long and am having such a hard time right now with all this.
I pray for God to give me the strength I know only He can give me to get through this.
I pray that I will have the strength to sing it is well with my soul even when God chooses to leave mountains unmovable like MercyMe sings about in their song Even If.
I’m so thankful I have hope in God and know He’s with me and won’t let go.
