What’s Up Wednesday?

Happy Wednesday!

So glad to be halfway through the week!   Today I’m linking up with Shay, Mel, and Sheaffer to bring you my monthly What’s Up Wednesday post.  Hope you enjoy!

What I’m reminiscing about:

Chris and I are in the process of starting to pack and I recently found all my old yearbooks.  I have found myself reminiscing about my high school days lately.  It’s crazy to think I’ve been out of HS for almost 14 years already!

What I’m loving:

I am still LOVING Starburst Jellybeans [FaveReds} and can’t quit eating them!

What we’ve been up to:

Volleyball, cheer, baseball, homework, packing, and repeat…

What I’m dreading:

Moving…I am SO excited about our new house, I just hate the thought of packing everything up and unloading it.

What I’m working on:

Packing………notice a theme, here?!?!?

Also, picking out things for our new house.  We plan to paint the whole house a different color, so I’m trying to decide on paint colors.    Any suggestions would be appreciated?!?!?!  I’m really liking Sherwin Williams Accessible Beige or Agreeable Gray.

What I’m excited about:

Re-doing the girls’ rooms ~ When we move we are buying the girls new bedroom furniture.  Emily is using my old furniture from when I was a kid, and Elizabeth has mismatched pieces that we have bought here and there.  I want to go with white furniture, but Chris says he thinks we should do oak.  White is cute for little girls’ rooms, but when they are older they will probably want an oak finish.  I agree with him, but I like the looks of white furniture better!  The picture below is the one that I think we are going to end up going with.  I think I can make it look more “girly” with how we decorate their rooms.  14287-14288-14279-14269-14260-14293-rs

What I’m watching:

March Madness- even though my bracket is really messed up!  I had Arizona winning it all and they are out.  I would really like to see a South Carolina/ North Carolina match-up in the championship game.

What I’m reading:

I just finished President Bush’s book, Portraits of Courage.  It was AMAZING!

What I’m listening to:

I am loving Keith Urban’s new song, The Fighter.  It also features one of my favorites, Carrie Underwood, in it.  Listen to it here.  It has a really catchy beat.

What I’m wearing:

With this crazy weather you don’t ever know how to dress anymore.  Some mornings it’s 40 degrees when you leave your house, but then 80 degrees when you get off of work.  I have been wearing this long cardigan from Old Navy that is my go-to cardigan.  I love the longer length and that it has pockets.  It also isn’t too hot and is perfect for a cooler spring day.

What I’m doing this weekend:

We have a lot planned for this weekend.  Elizabeth has a cheer dress rehearsal on Friday evening and Emily is having a friend come over and play during that time.  Then, Saturday we have an all day volleyball tournament at Bernie.  We play at least 4 different games and hope to make it to the championship game this time.  Our volleyball tournament should be over with by about 3:00 that afternoon, then we are headed up to St. Louis to spend the night.  Elizabeth has a cheer competition all day on Sunday so we are going up the night before to let her swim and rest before getting up early for the competition.  Sunday is her competition and then we will head back to Dexter to try to catch up before a new week starts.  Makes me tired just thinking about it!

What I’m looking forward to next month:

Easter and moving to a new house!

Hope you all finish out the week strong!  Thanks for checking out my blog!

  1. Oh I’ve been eyeing that Portraits of Courage book for a bit now, and my bracket is so done. I had Kansas/Duke, so oh well..there’s always next year!

  2. Oh moving is crazy with kids – oh my! We moved every 2 years for my dad’s work, my mother is my hero! When we moved, I thought I was going to lose my mind but it was all worth it in the end! Hang in there. Our weather is bananas too, at least we are getting full use out of our closets, right??? Have a great day, just popped over from the link up. xoxo ERIN @ perfectlyportfamily.com
