What's Up Wednesday?

What’s Up Wednesday?

Happy Hump Day!  It’s that time again to link up with Shay, Mel, and Sheaffer for my monthly What’s Up Wednesday post.

Hope you enjoy!

What I’m reminiscing about

Chris and I are trying to sell our house and we have a couple that is possibly interested in buying it.  Because of that, I have found myself reminiscing about all the houses that Chris and I have shared in our 12 years of marriage.  We have lived in 7 houses!!!!! Chris and I talked a lot last night about what was special about each house and it was nice to go down memory lane.  We have always been so blessed and able to sell our houses pretty quickly when we needed to.  I have loved something about each house we’ve lived in and each one holds its’ own special memory.  I pray that the right buyer comes along and buys our current house when the timing is right.  I couldn’t find a picture of every house, but I am sharing the ones I could find.

What I’m loving

Chris and I are waiting on the last approval of our home study for fostering/adoption.  We got the final copy the other day through email and I couldn’t help but laugh at what Chris said attracted him to me.  I was a little embarrassed that he wrote it in his home study questionnaire, but he said he was just being honest!

What we’ve been up to

We honestly haven’t been up to a whole lot lately, and I’ve loved it!  The weather has been really dreary and cold lately, so we’ve played a lot of board games and watched a lot of movies.  The girls have kept us busy with school work and activities.  This picture of Happy pretty much sums up our evenings.  It’s so nice to have a slow season in our life where we are all home and enjoying each other’s company.

What I’m dreading

I can’t think of anything I’m dreading at the moment.

What I’m working on

I am coaching a traveling volleyball team this year so I have been busy working on scheduling all of our games and ordering uniforms.  There is a lot of detail that goes into getting practices scheduled, calling other schools to see if they can come and play us, fundraisers, uniforms, etc.  I would be lost if it wasn’t for my good friend, Ginger, who coaches the 6th grade team helping me out.  She has been a life saver!

What I’m excited about

So many things in my life right now seem to be changing.  Change can be scary, but also a great thing!  I am excited about the possibility of a bigger house and also about the possibility of a new kid soon.  So many good things could be happening for me and my family in the near future!

What I’m watching

I am slow on the Gilmore Girls bandwagon, but it was difficult for me to get into.  I am finally where Lorelai dumps Max and so it is getting better and better with every episode.

What I’m reading

I just started reading this book Monday evening.  Oh, my ~ I can’t put it down!  It’s AMAZING!  I think I’ll stay up late tonight and finish reading it.

What I’m listening to

I’m loving Sabrina Carpenter’s new song, THUMBS.  To be honest with you, I don’t even know all the lyrics to the song yet, but it has a catchy tune and is easy to sing along with.

What I’m wearing

I’m the last one you want to get fashion advice from.  I am 6′ tall and very hard to dress!  I always feel like I have the worst time finding things to fit me the right way.  However, I am loving my new Ugg boots that I got for Christmas and I am wearing them every chance that I get.  They are the first pair of Uggs I have ever owned and I love them!

What I’m doing this weekend

Friday night we hope to go watch the boys basketball team play in the championship game of the SCAA tournament.  Dexter plays Bloomfield on Thursday evening to see if they make it to the championship game or not, but hopefully they do.  Saturday we are headed to Doniphan in the morning to watch my nephew, Zach, play basketball.  After that I am going to Cape all by myself for an afternoon/evening of relaxation!  I have a massage and nail appointment at BellaDona Spa in Cape.  It was part of my Christmas present from Chris that I am just now getting to use and I am so excited!

What I’m looking forward to next month

I can’t wait for Valentine’s Day next month!  Not sure why I love it so much, but it is one of my favorite holidays!  I get giddy with all things red and pink so be looking for a Valentine’s Day post soon.

  1. Yay for all of the exciting changes that are ahead of you. I love the Gilmore Girls, it is a good mindless show to watch, but also a feel good show. I hope you have a great rest of your week!
