Friday Favorites

Hi, all!  Hope your week has been going great!  We have had crazy weather this week and looks like today we might have some freezing rain also.  I’m crossing my fingers that our temperatures stay warm enough that it is just rain.

We have a 3-day weekend coming up since we are out of school on Monday, so I am SO excited!

ONE

I am loving my girls’ new YUMBOX for school lunches.  Elizabeth got the purple one for Christmas and Emily got the pink.  They make packing lunches so much easier!!  I can fill it up with a lot of my girls’ favorite foods in each different compartment.  I hated using plastic bags all the time for their lunches and sometimes felt like I was packing 20 different baggies full of stuff for one lunch!  The girls have also filled them up with snacks for car trips.  I do have to wash them every day after school and let them air dry, but it doesn’t bother me at all to do that.  Here is a picture of Elizabeth’s that we packed this morning.

TWO

I am loving my magnets I got for Christmas!  Now, they are A LOT smaller than Chris thought they would be, but I love them!  They each have a picture on them that are near and dear to my heart.  Chris ordered them from Social Print studio that you can check out here.  I have ordered a lot of their square pictures before and will definitely be ordering more magnets in the future.  I see these making excellent gifts for the grandparents.

THREE

Earlier I was talking about our crazy Missouri weather.  Just this week we have had a VERY windy day that blew our trampoline up over our fence and into a tree behind our house, followed by a rainy day, and then a day that was 65 degrees?!?!?  When you live in SE Missouri you get used to it, but I am loving that the girls got to have a little time to play outside and burn off some energy in January!  This pic is of Emily and friend, Emma, enjoying the new Green Machine bikes.

FOUR

I know this is a picture of just a pencil, but it makes this momma’s heart happy!  Elizabeth is in LOVE with LeBron James and she loves the Cleveland Cavaliers.  Well, one of her BFF’s, Kate, came to school one day this week and had gotten her a Cavaliers pencil.  Elizabeth was SO excited and couldn’t wait to show me after school.  I was reminded that a simple act of kindness goes a long way.  Both of my girls are blessed with great friends and it makes me so happy!
